Muhammed Gilmore Accuses Kai Cenat Of Borrowing His Boarding School Content Idea

Nigerian content creator Muhammed Gilmore has alleged that American streamer Kai Cenat borrowed an idea from his boarding school content series, claiming he developed the concept in 2022 before Cenat produced similar content.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Gilmore made the claim during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where he discussed his career, financial challenges and experiences in the entertainment industry.

The skit maker maintained that he had conceived the idea for his boarding school series several years ago, suggesting that Cenat later adopted a similar concept. However, the allegation has not been independently verified, and no response from Cenat was included in the account.

During the interview, Gilmore also opened up about a major financial setback, revealing that he once invested nearly ₦100 million in a project but earned only ₦450,000 in return.

He described the experience as devastating, explaining that the disappointing outcome left him in severe financial difficulty despite the substantial amount he had committed to the project.

Gilmore said the experience was among the difficult moments he encountered while trying to establish himself in the content creation industry.

The creator also recounted an unusual encounter with Nigerian music star Davido, claiming that he once instructed a driver to disrupt the singer’s convoy in an attempt to attract his attention.

According to Gilmore, the situation escalated to the point where he and others lay in front of the vehicle to seek the singer’s assistance. He recalled that Davido eventually lowered his window and responded by asking, “Are you crazy?”

Reflecting on his personal journey, Gilmore said he had transformed from a shy child into a content creator who shares stories and entertains audiences. He also recalled an emotional experience at Jaja Hall, University of Lagos, where he broke down in tears while alone, describing the moment as a turning point in his life.

Speaking about personal development, Gilmore advised people to focus on inner transformation rather than making financial success their only priority.

“Don’t pray for money; pray may your life change internally first,” he said, encouraging people to prioritise personal growth and meaningful life changes.

His revelations have offered a glimpse into the challenges behind his career, highlighting the financial risks, emotional struggles and determination that can accompany the pursuit of success in the entertainment industry.
