In his submission, Governor Mutfwang emphasized that the MTEF/FSP outlines his administration’s fiscal roadmap aimed at achieving key economic development goals, including economic diversification, public sector reforms, human capital development, addressing infrastructure gaps, and driving urban renewal alongside sustainable housing initiatives.
“The MTEF/FSP establishes a three-year fiscal plan that underpins the 2025 budget, providing a macroeconomic and fiscal framework for the years 2025 to 2027,” the Governor stated. “It aligns with Section 16(1) and (2) of the Plateau State Fiscal Responsibility Law of 2014 and ensures that resources are allocated efficiently to priority sectors, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and accountability in line with global best practices.”
The Governor also announced that the proposed budget for 2025 totals ₦471,134,093,541.00, marking an increase of ₦156,278,944,988.00 compared to the 2024 budget.

The budget is designed to be people-centric, with a clear focus on improving the lives of our citizens.”
Governor Mutfwang urged the House of Assembly to fast-track the passage of the bill, stressing that swift approval would allow for the prompt commencement of critical projects.
