Veteran actress Saratu Gidado, fondly referred to as Daso in the Kannywood film industry, has passed away. Her family members reported discovering her lifeless in her apartment on the morning of April 9.
According to her relatives, Daso had returned to sleep after partaking in Sahur, the pre-dawn meal for those fasting during Ramadan, but was later found deceased.
Born on January 17, 1968, in Kano, Daso, aged 56 at the time of her passing, leaves behind a legacy in the industry. Renowned for her portrayal of spirited and mischievous characters, she gained prominence through her comedic roles.
She ventured into the industry in 2000 with her debut in “Linzami Da Wuta,” a production by Sarauniya Movies, showcasing her talent and earning her a place in the hearts of fans.
