Nigerian Army Conducts Raid On Terrorist Leader’s Hideout In Zamfara State, Eliminates One Suspect

Nigerian Army forces deployed for Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency endeavors conducted a decisive operation targeting the stronghold of a notorious terrorist leader, identified as Yellow Janbros, situated in Dangunu Village, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to a statement released by the Army on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, the operation culminated in the elimination of a key terrorist figure and the confiscation of weaponry.

“In the course of the operation conducted on April 8, 2024, our troops successfully launched an assault on the stronghold of the infamous terrorists accountable for various heinous activities, including kidnappings and terrorism across North West Nigeria,” the statement asserted.

“The troops, through their valor, overwhelmed and ousted the terrorists, resulting in the neutralization of one of their members. Additionally, our gallant forces seized one AK-47 Rifle, One AK-47 Magazine, along with 30 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition, and recovered one hundred and fifty bags of pilfered grains. The terrorists’ enclave has been thoroughly dismantled.”
