N88.6m Granted To Families Of 54 Fallen Officers By A’Ibom CPThe Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, Joseph Eribo, has presented cheques totaling over N88.6 million to the families of 54 deceased officers. During the presentation, Eribo extended his condolences to the families of the fallen officers and expressed gratitude to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun for the prompt disbursement of funds, which are part of the IGP’s Family Welfare Scheme, Group Life Assurance, and Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme. He urged the beneficiaries, who are the next of kin of the deceased officers, to use the funds wisely.

The statement noted, “The cheques for the families of the deceased were facilitated by IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, who prioritizes the welfare of police officers and their families.”

Eribo encouraged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds effectively to support themselves and their families. He emphasized that the entire force mourns the loss of these heroes.

The cheques issued on behalf of the IGP are part of the Family Welfare Scheme and related insurance programs. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the police force and pledged to use the funds responsibly, praying for blessings for the IGP, the CP, and the Nigerian Police Force.
