Published

The Nigerian naira recorded a slight movement against the United States dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday, September 24, 2026, as market participants continued to monitor developments in the currency market.

According to Bush Radio Academy, data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the naira was quoted at ₦1,328.6687 to one US dollar on Thursday.

The latest figure represents a marginal change from the ₦1,328.4974 to the dollar recorded on Wednesday, indicating a relatively stable movement in the official market.

Meanwhile, the naira traded at about ₦1,385 per dollar at the parallel market on Thursday, reflecting a notable difference between the official and unofficial exchange rates.

However, actual rates offered by commercial banks, Bureau de Change operators and other foreign exchange dealers may vary from the reference figures depending on transaction margins, dollar demand and supply conditions.

Market watchers are expected to continue monitoring foreign exchange inflows, demand for the US dollar and monetary policies introduced by the CBN as the naira’s performance remains under close observation.
