Jonathan Gaza, the member representing Karu/Keffi/Kokona federal constituency in the House of Representatives, who had defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) due to dissatisfaction with the previous APC primary.

Notably, these defectors successfully won their respective seats in both the House of Representatives and the Senate during the National Assembly elections. Chairman Aliyu Bello, however, expressed confidence in the reconciliation efforts, emphasizing the positive progress observed in the return of former party members.

He elaborated on ongoing negotiations with those who had left the party and highlighted the significance of resolving internal conflicts and strengthening the party for future challenges.

Bello pointed to the recent return of Mr. Francis Uya, the state secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), along with 11 local government council chairmen and all state working committee members to the APC as a promising development.

Uya cited the leadership qualities of Chairman Bello and the importance of building a more robust Nasarawa State as reasons for his return.

Furthermore, Aliyu Bello pledged to foster unity within the party, ensuring that all members have equal opportunities and a voice.

Additionally, he vowed to monitor the performance of all government appointees under the administration to ensure they align with the party’s policies and programs aimed at improving the living conditions of Nasarawa State residents.
