Nasarawa State Police Command operatives have apprehended four armed robbery suspects accused of assaulting and robbing students.

According to DSP Ramhan Nansel, the command’s spokesperson, the suspected robbers targeted student lodges and a hostel in the Gunki area of Nasarawa, injuring two Federal Polytechnic students while stealing cell phones and other valuables.

The arrests were made by Nasarawa Division operatives led by CSP Mohammed Padah, in response to a distress call on Sunday, May 26. Police rushed to the scene, providing medical assistance to the injured and initiating pursuit of the criminals.

The arrested suspects are identified as Usman Abdullahi of Sabon Layi Keffi, Abdullahi Mohammed, Ibrahim Musa, both of Angwan Tiv Masaka, and Fa’ad Idris from Jahun area of Bauchi State. Recovered items include knives, phones, laptops, torch lights, music players, bags, power banks, and cash amounting to N298,000.
