The confirmation came following a motion presented by the majority leader, Mohammed Adamu Omadefu (APC- Keana), and seconded by the house minority leader, Luka Zhekaba (PDP- Obi 11).
The screening process proceeded smoothly for 16 of the nominees, while Mr. Haruna Musa from Nasarawa Eggon local government area was absent due to indisposition. The Speaker assured that Mr. Musa would be screened later when he becomes available.
The confirmed commissioner-nominees are from various local government areas, and their names have been communicated to the governor for further action. The House of Assembly is set to go on recess and will reconvene on September 4, 2023.
