The governor conveyed this plea during his visit to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture’s headquarters in Abuja, with the aim of fortifying the existing collaboration between the federal and state governments to ensure robust food security.

Governor Sule highlighted Nasarawa State’s pivotal role as a leading producer of sesame seeds, cassava, yam, and rice. He affirmed his administration’s dedication to harnessing this agricultural potential and actively engaging in the ministry’s initiatives.

“We are here representing Nasarawa State, which has a strong agricultural presence. We are eager to align ourselves with and actively participate in all the initiatives undertaken by this ministry,” he asserted.

During the meeting, Governor Sule provided comprehensive updates on various agricultural projects in Nasarawa State, with a particular emphasis on advancements in commercial agriculture. He underscored collaborative ventures with industry giants such as Olam Farms, Dangote Group, Nigeria Flour Mills Limited, and Azman Farms.

Responding to the governor’s initiative, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, commended Governor Sule’s proactive stance. Kyari emphasized the critical role of collaboration between the federal and state governments in significantly boosting food production across Nigeria.
