The reactions to the tribunal’s decision have been mixed, and residents have resorted to fasting and prayer to seek divine intervention before the judgment is delivered.
An investigation carried out by our Correspondent in Lafia and various parts of the state has revealed that approximately 95 percent of residents, spanning across religious affiliations, are fervently seeking divine guidance to reclaim what they believe is their rightful mandate bestowed upon the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the March 18 governorship election.
Some of the residents who spoke to our Correspondent expressed optimism that the allegedly stolen mandate would be restored, emphasizing the importance of justice, equity, and fair play.
Mallam Suleiman Abdullahi, a resident, firmly believed in the responsiveness of Allah, describing Him as a benevolent deity who fulfills promises.
He expressed confidence that their mandate, which they entrusted to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate on March 18 for the betterment of Nasarawa State, would be upheld despite attempts to usurp it.
He stated, “We will persistently pray to Allah, who listens to our supplications and executes His will on Monday.”
Rev. Joshua John Bako shared the sentiment that the Almighty God reigns supreme over any opposing force, asserting that the divine will shall ultimately prevail and thwart the efforts of those seeking to claim the mandate of the people, which they conferred upon David Emmanuel Ombugadu in Nasarawa.
