In a statement released on Sunday, the Forum expressed concerns regarding Abure’s leadership, highlighting that his tenure is set to expire on June 8, 2024, along with other irregularities that have drawn scrutiny.

Comrade Eragbe Anselm Aphimia, the Forum’s spokesman, stated, “Mr. Kennedy Ahanotu, the Deputy National Secretary of the Labour Party, is hereby cautioned to stop presenting himself as the National Youth Leader of the party, or he will face consequences.” He added, “Similarly, Mr. Julius Abure is warned to cease identifying himself as the National Chairman of the Labour Party for the reasons outlined.
