During weeks of intelligence-driven operations conducted both within and outside Nigeria, substantial illicit drugs and assets worth billions of naira were seized from these individuals.

The breakthrough came after NDLEA officers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja intercepted consignments of cocaine and heroin concealed within the belongings of two traffickers en route to Paris, France, and Doha, Qatar. Additionally, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos, on October 10th, operatives managed to apprehend Hakeem Babatunde Salami, the key figure in the “Tajudeen Babatunde Abioye Transnational Criminal Organization.”

This organization has been engaged in the illegal trade of various narcotics, including cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and ephedrine, between Nigeria and several other countries.
