As of now, only a fraction of state universities, state colleges, and state polytechnics have completed the data submission process. Consequently, the application window, originally scheduled to open on June 25, 2024, will now begin on July 10, 2024.
This delay aims to give state institutions more time to meet the data submission requirements, ensuring that their students can benefit from the Federal Government’s student loan scheme. The Fund emphasized the importance of accurate and complete data submissions, including JAMB numbers, matriculation numbers, admission details, student names, program details, fees, and gender, to facilitate a smooth application process.
Institutions failing to comply with the revised deadline risk disadvantaging their students who rely on these loans for educational support. The Fund urged prompt action from all state institutions to avoid application delays and ensure the accuracy of submitted information.
