The initial curfew, enacted last Sunday, was a response to looting incidents in Jos North Local Government Area, which occurred amid the nationwide “EndBadGovernance” protests.

The Governor’s decision to ease the curfew follows consultations with security agencies and reflects an improved security situation in the area. The relaxation is intended to facilitate economic activities while maintaining public order.

Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the security forces for their effective enforcement of the curfew and stated that it would continue to be reviewed based on security developments. He also urged residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities.
