Asserting his stance, Odumosu issued a stern warning to vandals, urging them to cease their activities or face the legal consequences of their actions. He announced his intention to deploy tactical teams to counteract the concerning criminal trend of vandalism in the FCT.
Promising enhanced visibility policing, the new FCT commandant highlighted that he is empowered by the directives of his superior, Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Audi, and the full support of his personnel to rid the nation’s capital of such unlawful activities.
He stated, “I am following in the footsteps of my father, the Commandant-General of the Corps, Dr. Ahmed Audi, and his commendable approach to operations. Therefore, we will be diligently dedicated and committed to our duty, and I encourage all of you to do the same.”
Odumosu declared a comprehensive crackdown on vandals, economic saboteurs, and criminals who engage in the theft of manhole covers, street and traffic lights, and other essential infrastructural components.
