New Stars Shine Bright As Nigerian Navy Decorates 7 Top Officers!

On Tuesday, the Nigerian Navy celebrated a major career milestone for seven distinguished officers, elevating them to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

The Nigerian Navy held a decoration ceremony on Tuesday at its Headquarters in Abuja, marking a proud moment for seven officers elevated to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

In a statement, Commodore Adams-Aliu, the Navy’s Director of Information, described the ceremony—known as the “shipping of stripes”—as a tribute to the officers’ unwavering dedication, leadership, and service to the nation.

Delivering remarks on behalf of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abdullahi Dewu congratulated the newly promoted officers and their families, highlighting that the advancement reflects their professionalism, integrity, and perseverance.

“Today’s ceremony celebrates not just past accomplishments but also entrusts you with greater responsibilities as Lieutenant Commanders of the Nigerian Navy,” he said.

The promoted officers are: Lieutenant Commanders Sadiq Alhassan, Augusta Aku, James Enejoh, Clement Eyeh, James Fatika, Titilayo George, and Deborah Nwaorji.

Vice Admiral Ogalla urged the officers to remain steadfast in their roles, particularly in combating insecurity and maritime crimes across the country.
