This directive stems from allegations of his refusal to acknowledge a court process served by bailiffs within the state.

The DPO reportedly declined to accept the court documents after perusing them.

Judge Mohammed Mohammed, presiding over the case, issued the bench warrant for Inusa’s arrest on Wednesday.

This development follows a lawsuit brought by Issyaku and other petitioners in the High Court, seeking the protection of their fundamental rights, including the right to personal dignity, personal freedom, a fair hearing, freedom of movement, and the right to bail.

The respondents named in the lawsuit include the Inspector General of Police (IGP), DCP Bello of FIB Special Taskforce, DSP Wakili Inusa (the DPO of Mokwa), and Hamza Baba.

Philip Emmanuel, the applicants’ legal representative, informed the court that his clients had been detained by the police in Abuja for nearly three months following their arrest in Mokwa.
