Nigeria Immigration Service Vows To Expel Corrupt Officers
The Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service’s Kwara State Command, Aminu Shamsuddin, has issued a stern warning to officers, urging them to steer clear of corruption. Shamsuddin emphasized that any personnel involved in bribery or corruption would face dismissal from the service. Deputy Comptroller Momoh Aliyu, representing the comptroller, delivered this message during the passing out parade for newly recruited officers in Ilorin, Kwara State’s capital, where a total of 190 officers were inducted….CONTINUE READING
Shamsuddin explicitly cautioned, “Avoid bribe in the course of your duties. If you are caught in the act, you will be dismissed from the service.” While extending congratulations to the new officers and welcoming them to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), he stressed the importance of qualities such as submissiveness, good behavior, and loyalty to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Highlighting the significance of the induction process as the initial step towards becoming an NIS officer, Shamsuddin encouraged the newly recruited personnel to gain essential knowledge about their responsibilities within the service.
