The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, has declared Nigeria open for business at the 2025 International Business Conference & Expo organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in Lagos. He highlighted bold reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which have added $67 billion to the economy, moving Nigeria’s GDP from ₦269 trillion in May 2023 to over ₦372 trillion today.

Momoh outlined incentives ranging from tax holidays and free trade zones to sector-specific opportunities in agriculture, ICT, renewable energy, and solid minerals, while stressing that all six geo-political zones are being opened up for inclusive growth through infrastructure and industrial development.

Representing President Tinubu, the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh, emphasized government’s duty to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, innovate, and expand. Other speakers — including Dr. Awele V. Elumelu, OFR, and ambassadors from Ireland, Rwanda, Tanzania, Germany, and Thailand — echoed optimism about Nigeria’s economic direction. They commended the stability of the Naira, the unification of exchange rates, and the removal of fuel subsidy as measures that have boosted investor confidence and opened new doors for foreign direct investment.
