In his heartfelt message, Fred lamented, “My Lord, my God, why have you forsaken me? I thought a day would come when I could kneel before you, oh Lord, and testify of your goodness and mercy in thanksgiving, and your name shall be glorified.”
Fred revealed his poignant dream of consecrating his son as a priest in the Catholic Church, a vision left unrealized due to Abraham’s life being marked by numerous health challenges. Despite Fred’s sacrifices to ensure his son’s well-being, he expressed the profound sadness of seeing his dreams shattered and feeling like a laughing stock before adversaries.
He reminisced about the joyous occasion when Abraham was born after years of prayer, giving him the name “Abraham,” signifying “Father of all nations.” Fred’s dream to offer his son to God for service in the church remained unfulfilled.
The grief-stricken father admitted to contemplating suicide twice within 24 hours of his son’s demise, emphasizing the overwhelming pain and trauma he is experiencing. Fred’s broken heart and the profound emptiness left by Abraham’s passing are evident as he grapples with the harsh reality of witnessing his son’s lifeless body being laid to rest.
In his concluding words, Fred acknowledged the mysterious ways of God, expressing a humble acceptance of the divine plan despite the overwhelming grief. The mourning father sought solace in the belief that only God could mend his shattered heart and restore the peace that seemed elusive in the face of such profound loss.
