Etsetowghan Andrew explained that he was visiting Switzerland for work and was on his way home when he was asked to surrender his backpack for inspection. During the search, the presentation laser pointer, which he used to control slides in MS PowerPoint, was found.

He was informed that the device is prohibited in Switzerland and subsequently detained in a cell for two hours. He remained in the cell until a Swiss resident with a verifiable address guaranteed his release.
