On September 6, a man was attacked by suspected thieves on motorcycles on Adeniran Ogunsanya Road in Surulere, Lagos State. According to an eyewitness on X, the two thieves shot the man and stole his necklace before fleeing the scene on their motorcycle, leaving the man bleeding. Another observer reported that the victim was quickly taken to the hospital and expressed hope for his survival.
