Nigerian Police, Army, And DSS Join Forces For Joint Operation In Osun Amidst #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria Protests

The convoy, consisting of over 12 vehicles from various security agencies, started from the State Police Command and proceeded through areas such as West Bypass, Stadium, Kola Balogun, Testing Ground, and Oke-Baale. The route also included Ilesa Garage, Ayepe, Oja-Oba, Isale-Osun, Olaiya, Old Garage, and Fagbewesa Igbonna.

Osun State Police Command spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola, stated that the operation aimed to showcase security strength and prevent any criminal interference during the upcoming protests. “We want to ensure that criminals do not take advantage of the protest. The event will be protected, and public safety will be prioritized,” Opalola said.

Meanwhile, SaharaReporters reported increased military checkpoints in Abuja, including Bwari, Dutsen-Alhaji, Karu Junction, Mogadishu Cantonment, and Giri Junction, as part of heightened security measures. Additionally, 4,200 police officers have been deployed to the Federal Capital Territory, and other security agencies, including immigration and mobile police, have reinforced their presence in preparation for the protests.
