SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, announced on Thursday that the police had identified the threatening clips circulating on social media.

He stated, “The Police Command takes these clips seriously and is committed to upholding law and order, ensuring that no individual or group infringes on the fundamental rights of others.”

Ikenga noted that the Command has previously arrested individuals for similar threats aimed at creating tension and panic within the state.

To address the situation, he confirmed that police and other security forces have increased patrols and surveillance to maintain public order and safety in Anambra.
