Nigerian Presidency Rejects Proposed #IgboMustGo Protest In Lagos

Ogra emphasized that Nigeria’s unity, regardless of ethnic or religious differences, is enshrined in the constitution. He urged security agencies to take action against those behind the protest calls.

“It is my firm belief that anyone who attempts to incite ethnic or religious conflict in Nigeria is a threat to society and must be held accountable under the law. Such behavior is dangerous in a country with over 350 ethnic groups and diverse religious beliefs,” Ogra stated.

He stressed that Nigeria is a unified nation governed by constitutional law, and any harm affects all citizens equally, regardless of their background. Ogra encouraged Nigerians to report any form of bigotry or hateful rhetoric to law enforcement.

President Tinubu’s aide reiterated that the President does not support any form of discrimination and urged citizens to unite against those who promote hatred. He specifically appealed to young Nigerians not to be swayed by those seeking to exploit ethnic or religious divisions for their own agendas.

Ogra called on all Nigerians to reject such divisive actions and to support national unity regardless of political or ethnic affiliations.
