You don’t know IBD Dende? Ibrahim Egungbohun Dende, reputed as the foremost smuggler in southwestern Nigeria, is the same man mentioned in one of Olamide’s hit songs titled “Oil and Gas“.

For years now, the infamous figure has found himself in the media spotlight regarding customs issues. A mind-blowing video exposed by FIJ captured IBD Dende threatening the life of an Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC) who intercepted his smuggled three trucks fully loaded with rice from Benin Republic into Nigeria.

The Minister of State for Environment, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, has extended birthday wishes to the notorious smuggler, leading to criticism by Nigerians.
