The ex-terrorists, who are currently housed at the Hajj Camp in Borno after surrendering to Nigerian authorities, caused a significant disruption by blocking the Bulumkutu-Maiduguri highway. Their main grievance centers around the alleged non-payment of a monthly N30k allowance, which they claim the federal government had promised them.
This unexpected protest has sparked a wave of reactions from Nigerians:

What this means is Buhari was paying this alarming number of individuals 30K of tax payers money, monthly, people who killed, raped, looted, destroyed communities, etc. These people who are supposed to be SORRY FOR THEIR EVIL, Fed fat for a while to have the BOLDNESS to come out and demand free 30K for being forgiven for their DASTARDLY AND TERRORIST ACTS!!! what a shame. What a big shame on Buhari’s government and the APC.”
