Controversial remarks have erupted on social media directed at popular Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi, following her comment regarding the burial of the late Managing Director and CEO of Access Bank Plc, Herbert Wigwe.

Wigwe, along with his wife and son, was privately interred after a funeral church service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo, Rivers State. The funeral service, which began at 11:00 am after a Christian wake keep, attracted a multitude of mourners, including friends, associates, and well-wishers from Nigeria and around the world.

A viral video circulating on social media displayed Wigwe’s coffin adorned with an Access Bank flag, a detail that did not sit well with Korra Obidi. In a comment on Tunde Ednut’s page, where the video was shared, she expressed her disapproval, stating, “The shameless PR move with the bank logo on the corpse is cringe, to be honest. May their souls rest in perfect peace.”
