Nigeria’s Diaspora Affairs Chief Cheers Ontario’s New Immigration Welcome Center As A Model For Global Integration

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has praised Nigerian community leaders in Ontario for establishing the Nigerian Immigration Welcome Centre, set to be launched soon.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

In a statement released by the Commission’s spokesperson, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa expressed her support for the initiative, which aims to assist both new and existing Nigerian migrants in settling effectively in Canada.

She encouraged other Nigerian communities worldwide to replicate the support system created by the leaders in Ontario.

Dabiri-Erewa also reiterated that the Commission is open to collaborating with organizations dedicated to the welfare of Nigerians abroad.

Uche Okugo, the President of the Network of Nigerians in Canada (NNC), highlighted that the centre will offer tailored services to help new and current Nigerian immigrants adjust to life in Canada and contribute positively to society.

The Nigerian Immigration Welcome Centre will provide various services, including career mentoring, settlement support, job placement, language coaching, empowerment programs, and food bank assistance. The centre is scheduled to open on April 12, 2025.
