In a statement issued on Sunday, the State Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, emphasized that local schools and health centers are operating smoothly, with community engagement at an all-time high. Governor Ademola Adeleke recently visited several health centers, witnessing two successful childbirths in Telemu and Ido Osun, as part of his ongoing oversight.
Since 2023, the process for obtaining state of origin and local government identification has been fully digitized, enabling thousands of applicants to access these services online in real-time.
The government has refuted the opposition’s claims, pointing to the fact that local government services are continuing without disruption. This was confirmed by unauthorized Yes/No council chairmen, who shared their experiences on social media during their visits to schools and health centers. If services were truly non-operational, it is unclear how these visits could have taken place.
The public is urged to disregard the false narratives being spread by opposition figures and certain unreliable media outlets. Governor Adeleke remains steadfast in his commitment to good governance and the well-being of the people, operating within the rule of law and with a strong ethical foundation.
