Night Guard Murder Confirmed By Osun NSCDC

The guard, identified as Ibariba, was killed while on duty at a shopping complex on Station Road, Ikirun, Osun State.

NSCDC Spokesperson Adeleke Kehinde confirmed the incident on Monday in Osogbo. She reported that NSCDC operatives have visited the crime scene.

Adeleke stated, “We received a report today that a middle-aged man, known as Ibariba, was murdered by unknown assailants in the early hours while performing his duties as a night guard at Station Road, Ikirun.”

She added, “The victim was working at a shopping complex on Station Road when the incident occurred. His remains have been removed from the scene and taken to the morgue by officers from the Ikirun Police Divisional Headquarters.”

An investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of death and identify the culprits. The exact time of the night guard’s death has not yet been established.

According to reports, nearby shop owners discovered the deceased in a pool of blood the following morning.
