Nkem Owoh’s Hidden Side Revealed! Producer Onyemobi Speaks On Working With Osuofia

Nollywood producer Mr Martins Onyebuchi Onyemobi has opened up about his experience working with veteran actor Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, describing him as a highly creative performer who gives his all whenever he accepts a role.                                                                                                                                                         According to Bush Radio Academy, Onyemobi explained that getting the best out of the veteran actor requires knowing how to manage his improvisational energy while still giving him room to express his creativity.

The producer said Owoh can become extremely expressive once he gets into character, making it important for filmmakers to maintain some level of control during production.

He said, “If you give Osuofia a movie script, all you need to do is control him. When you control him, you will get the best out of him. But if you allow him, he will talk from now till tomorrow.

“Once he agrees to do the job, he will give you everything he has. If the movie is supposed to be Part 1 and Part 2, Osuofia will end up giving you Part 1 all the way to Part 7.”

Onyemobi’s comments highlight Owoh’s reputation for bringing his own personality, humour and improvisational style to his performances, qualities that have contributed to his enduring popularity in Nollywood.

The veteran actor has remained one of the industry’s most recognisable comic performers, with his Osuofia character becoming particularly associated with his career and memorable appearances on screen.
