The fresh appointments are aimed at driving transformation and innovation within the organization. The new management team includes:

• Adesuwa Dozie – Secretary and Chief Legal Officer

• Rowland Ewubare – Group Chief Operating Officer

• Adedapo Segun – Group Chief Financial Officer

• Olalekan Ogunleye – Executive Vice President, Gas, Power & New Energy

• Udy Ntia – Executive Vice President, Upstream

• Mumuni Dangazau – Executive Vice President, Downstream

• Sophia Mbakwe – Executive Vice President, Business Services

Meet the New NNPC Executives:

Adesuwa Dozie – Secretary and Chief Legal Officer

Before joining NNPC Ltd, Adesuwa was Regional General Counsel – Africa Upstream and Vice Chair at ExxonMobil Companies in Nigeria. She brings over two decades of legal experience working with multinationals across Africa.
Her academic credentials include:

• LL.B from the University of Buckingham (1996)

• LL.M from Cornell Law School (1998)

• Admitted to the New York Bar (1999) and Nigerian Bar (2000)

Her legal career began at Ajumogobia & Okeke, followed by legal roles at Elf Petroleum, Coca-Cola Nigeria, and General Electric (GE), where she rose to General Counsel, GE Africa.

Rowland Ewubare – Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO)

Ewubare is a seasoned global executive who previously served as COO at NNPC, overseeing Upstream and Ventures directorates before stepping down in 2020.
He was also Group General Manager of NAPIMS, managing commercial relationships and budgets over $15 billion.

His career includes top legal roles at Schlumberger and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York.
Academic Background:

• LL.B from University of Ife

• LL.M from Queen Mary (University of London) and Harvard Law School

• Executive Certificate from Oxford University
  He has lectured at the University of Maryland and Georgia Tech, and is an Alumni in Residence at Harvard Law School.

Adedapo Segun – Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO)

Segun brings deep institutional knowledge of NNPC Ltd, having previously served as CFO, Executive VP, Downstream, and GGM, Treasury.
Before joining NNPC, he was Financial Services Manager at Chevron Nigeria Limited, handling treasury, accounting, and financial operations across multiple regions.

Olalekan Ogunleye – Executive VP, Gas, Power & New Energy

First appointed in September 2023, Ogunleye’s position has now been reconfirmed.
He previously served as Deputy Managing Director of Nigeria LNG Limited, and continues to play a key role in driving energy innovation and cleaner solutions within NNPC.
