NNPP Emerges As Premier Option For Nigerians, Says Kwankwaso
Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has emphasized that his party stands as the optimal choice for Nigerians, positioning itself ahead of both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at the NNPP National Convention held in Abuja on Saturday, Kwankwaso, a former Minister of Defence, highlighted the dire situation in various parts of Nigeria, particularly in the North, where many have been displaced from their homes and lives lost due to the activities of bandits and criminals.
Expressing concern over the prevailing circumstances, Kwankwaso stressed the fundamental responsibility of any government to ensure the safety and security of its citizens, asserting that Nigeria possesses abundant resources and manpower to achieve this.
He praised the NNPP for its remarkable progress since its inception, commending stakeholders for swiftly amending the party’s constitution, slogan, and logo during the National Convention. Kwankwaso believes these changes will contribute to the party’s success in future elections, eliminating confusion and enhancing its visibility.
Notably, the revised logo now prominently features a book and academic symbols, with a clear emphasis on education for all. Kwankwaso emphasized the party’s commitment to addressing the challenges facing education in Nigeria, particularly in regions affected by insecurity and poverty.
Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State echoed Kwankwaso’s sentiments, urging NNPP members to remain united in their quest for electoral victory and to uphold the party’s core values. He praised Kwankwaso for his exemplary leadership, which has contributed to the NNPP’s rapid growth.
Acting National Chairman of the NNPP, Mr. Ajuji Ahmed, emphasized that the party represents the present and future of Nigeria, inviting youths to join its ranks and participate in shaping the nation’s destiny.
Key outcomes of the convention included the approval of the party’s amended constitution, logo, and slogan, observed by a representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Overall, Kwankwaso’s remarks underscore the NNPP’s commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing Nigeria and its determination to offer a viable alternative to existing political entities.
