During the gathering, he expressed his paternal affection for the celebrant by stating that he considered himself a father figure to them(celebrant and his wife).
At the event, I overheard a conversation that really got me thinking. They were discussing how, despite any criticism against Oshiomhole, people consistently acknowledge that in the history of Edo State, no politician has generously supported others’ growth and development through their platform without seeking credit for it, quite like Oshiomhole has done.
The individuals engaging in this discussion hailed from Edo South, primarily representing the Bini community. It’s an interesting query: how many politicians genuinely aim for the greatness of their people? Without breaching privacy, let’s mentally compile a roll call spanning past to present governors.
What becomes apparent is that among them, none have championed the advancement of their constituents or aides to the extent that Oshiomhole has. His dedication stands out remarkably in this regard.
To clarify, I’m focusing solely on leadership, not delving into governance or other contentious matters. Consider the individuals you’re acquainted with who are thriving in both political and corporate spheres after serving under past or current governors. Now, envision comparing them to Oshiomhole’s proteges—those who have excelled across diverse sectors. The stark contrast in achievements and the significant number of successful individuals among Oshiomhole’s proteges truly stands out.
Similar to Tinubu, whose former cabinet members have excelled and still wield considerable influence in both governmental and private sectors to this day.
This is a clear message with no apologies to anyone, I am appreciating Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole’s leadership values, I would forever be grateful for his benevolence to everyone that comes across him, it is my sincere prayers that those or people who have been blessed by their political leaders extend such blessings to others.
Adams Oshiomhole’s legacy lies in the platforms he built for countless people to thrive. It’s a legacy that will endure.
