No Favouritism In God’s Work” – Chosen Founder Explains Son’s Sudden Suspension

Pastor Lazarus Muoka, the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, has suspended his son, Benhail Muoka, shortly after his wedding to Precious Duru on July 26.

The announcement was made during a sermon broadcast on Chosen Son TV, where the respected cleric explained that Benhail’s actions during his wedding contradicted the principles he has consistently preached.

Muoka said he took swift disciplinary action to correct his son and reinforce the values he expects from members of his household and congregation.

Emphasizing that no child is above correction—regardless of age, education, or status—the pastor urged parents not to hesitate in disciplining their children to prevent future regret.

He stated, “If you fail to correct your children, they could become wayward. You must control them, make them respect and fear you. When they disobey, take immediate action. Don’t delay.”

Using his own family as an example, Pastor Muoka revealed that he had to suspend Benhail from certain duties right after the wedding to ensure he understood the seriousness of the matter.

He continued, “Even though he got married yesterday, I disciplined him the same night. I told him, ‘You are suspended,’ because he didn’t follow what I teach—even on his wedding day.”

He concluded by advising other parents not to let their children “overgrow” them or disregard discipline, warning that such leniency could lead to their downfall.
