The tragic incident occurred last Saturday after Mohale hosted the party’s House of Representatives candidate, Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, ahead of an upcoming rerun election.

Mohale was fatally shot by suspected political thugs who addressed him as a saboteur, presumably for hosting Nnabuife, despite another candidate, Okwudili Ezenwankwo, from the community being in the same election.

In an official statement by the police command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, Commissioner of Police CP Aderemi Adeoye declared the Command’s commitment to tracking down and bringing the killers to justice.

Adeoye strongly condemned the killing, denouncing the perpetrators as cowardly individuals who have committed a heinous act.

The release highlighted that the police are actively pursuing leads to uncover the identity of the culprits, emphasizing that they may believe they have executed a perfect crime but will not escape justice.

The Commissioner reassured law-abiding citizens, particularly those in Nanka, urging them to collaborate with the police in ensuring the murderers and their sponsors face the consequences of their actions.
