According to her, many producers constantly offered her similar characters, which made her feel boxed in. She stressed that she is versatile enough to portray a wide range of roles — from classy, sophisticated personalities to rugged, street-style characters — and should not be confined to one image.
She added that while she can deliver her lines in pidgin English when required, it is not her natural way of speaking since she did not grow up in that environment.
Thomas said:
“I felt they wanted to box me, they wanted to put me in a corner. One minute I’m speaking phonetically, the next I do ghetto and so on. I wasn’t born in the barracks, so pidgin isn’t my thing.”
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress Lilian Esoro has urged people to cherish genuine friendships and avoid betrayal during personal struggles or relationships.
In a post on her Instagram story, she emphasized the importance of standing by friends in difficult times instead of abandoning them for selfish gains, warning that temporary comfort does not always last.
