Northeast Governors Convene In Bauchi For 10th Forum: Zulum And Fintiri Lead Delegations (PHOTOS)

The Northeast Governors, representing the Northeast Governors’ Forum (NEGF), have assembled in Bauchi, the capital of Bauchi State, to discuss critical issues affecting the region. The governors in attendance are Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Ahmadu Umaru Fintiru (Adamawa), and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe).

At the 10th meeting scheduled for Friday, May 17th, 2024, the governors will also introduce the Prospectus for the ongoing 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida IBB Square in Bauchi.

Various stakeholders, including the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), will provide insights to enrich the governors’ recommendations on crucial issues.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, serving as the forum’s Chairman, alongside counterparts from Bauchi, Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe, will hold a closed-door session following the opening session. They will deliberate on identified issues and propose solutions to advance the region’s overall development.

Additionally, the governors will accompany Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima to partake in several activities, such as the official inauguration of the 15th Northeast Joint Trade Fair, the unveiling of the newly constructed Bauchi State Government House, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the first two flyovers in Bauchi’s capital city.
