The appeal seeks to overturn the divided decision of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which favored the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, David Ombugadu.

The notice of the hearing was issued to the concerned parties by the Electronic Desk Officer of the court, Nasiru Alhassan.

According to the notice, the hearing is set to commence at 9:00 am in the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division.

Governor Sule initiated the appeal to challenge the governorship petition tribunal’s stance on his reelection.

The Notice of Appeal was filed on Sunday, October 15, through his lead counsel, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN).

The earlier ruling by the governorship election petition tribunal in Lafia declared David Ombugadu, the PDP candidate, as the winner of the March 18 governorship election.

However, a dissenting opinion from one of the three judges upheld Governor Sule’s election.
