NSCDC Apprehends An Alleged Bandit And An Imposter posing As A Medical Doctor In Bauchi.

The announcement was made through a statement issued by DSC Ibrahim Abubakar Garko, the Public Relations Officer of the Bauchi State Command.
As per the statement, the capture of the suspected kidnapper, Muhammad Sani Rinji, was the outcome of valuable intelligence received by NSCDC personnel. The suspect openly admitted to his involvement in criminal activities.
“The NSCDC intensified its patrol and surveillance efforts, leading to the apprehension of Muhammad Sani Rinji on 15/10/2023. He was apprehended by our officers collaborating with Nasarawa State Command, Lafia, based on reliable intelligence.
During the interrogation, the suspect confessed to his participation in a string of kidnappings and armed robberies in the Toro region and beyond.
Additionally, a suspected imposter claiming to be a medical doctor, identified as Usman Sadiq Yelwa and employed at the State Government General Hospital in Misau, was apprehended following credible intelligence. He is cooperating with the NSCDC during the ongoing investigation.”
According to the statement, the suspects will face legal proceedings once the investigations are concluded.
