NSCDC Detains Mason For Damaging Public Infrastructure

Akeem Sulaiman, 24, has been detained by the Osun State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly vandalizing Ansar-Ud-Deen Secondary School in Iwo.

Michael Adaralewa, the Commandant of Osun NSCDC, disclosed in a statement on Friday, released by Command spokesperson Adeleke Kehinde, that Sulaiman, a resident of No. 23 Aladorun Compound, Iwo, was apprehended on Sunday, September 7, 2024, at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Adaralewa stated that Sulaiman was caught while transporting stolen items to metal scrap dealers. The recovered items include 13 new stainless steel hand-washing basins, a pumping machine monitoring box, communication cables, three stainless trays, and four hand shovels.

Further investigation revealed that Sulaiman had previously worked as a laborer for the building contractor during the school’s construction.
