According to Abiodun’s Chief Press Secretary, Lekan Adeniran, the governor made this assertion during a meeting with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) country representative in Nigeria, Mohamed Yahya, held in Abuja on Friday.

Abiodun’s predecessors since the advent of democracy in 1999 include Olusegun Osoba, Gbenga Daniel, and Ibikunle Amosun.

The governor emphasized that his administration had made substantial progress in various sectors, particularly in the delivery of housing units within the initial four years, surpassing the cumulative accomplishments of all previous administrations.

He highlighted the achievements of his government in areas such as women empowerment programs, poverty reduction through small-scale lending and other initiatives, the launch of a job portal, the construction of the Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport featuring the country’s longest runway (4KM) completed in record time, and plans for a significant investment exceeding $400 million in an agricultural processing company.

Furthermore, Governor Abiodun emphasized the importance of collaboration between Ogun State and UNDP in areas including housing, information and communication technology (ICT), energy transition, women’s empowerment, and job creation.
