He reassured residents of swift intervention to address the situation and pledged to conduct a comprehensive assessment aimed at finding a permanent solution to the persistent flooding issue in the affected area.

Prince Abiodun made these statements while speaking to journalists after inspecting the inundated community. He emphasized that his administration is collaborating with the federal government to address this matter as an urgent concern.

He underscored the need to find a lasting resolution to the recurring flooding problem to enhance the livability of the area.

Furthermore, the governor revealed that the state government would focus on raising the elevation of certain roads in the region as part of the strategies to tackle the issue.

He stated, “We will give top priority to the works here because what I have witnessed has moved me. We will take immediate steps to provide relief, and we are expediting this process.

The Minister of State for Environment is already informed. The Vice President and the President are also aware of the situation. We are treating it as an emergency, and that’s precisely how we intend to address it.”
