in order to advocate for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Ohanaeze President, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the leadership of the Supreme Council of Nigeria Traditional Rulers, Southeast chapter, led by President HRM Eze Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna of Abia State at his Glass House in Orji-Owerri.
He emphasized that this planned visit to the president will address various issues affecting the South East region.
Iwuanyanwu also stressed the necessity of seeking Kanu’s release from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) due to the deteriorating security situation in the area.
He expressed concern that some individuals were exploiting Kanu’s name and detention for their personal gain, leading to crimes in the region
