In a statement issued on Friday in Benin City, Akerele congratulated Okpebholo on his recent victory in the Edo State governorship election. He assured the people of Edo that they can anticipate a government committed to “homegrown economic development, transparent governance, and the fair distribution of resources among all citizens.”
Akerele praised Senator Okpebholo as a visionary leader with a proven history of action-oriented governance. He reflected on his observations of the Governor-elect during the APC primaries and the subsequent campaign, highlighting Okpebholo’s genuine concern for the welfare of the populace and dedication to the greater good. “Senator Okpebholo is a man whose vision goes beyond mere words,” Akerele remarked. “I have no doubt he will assemble a competent team to manage the affairs of Edo State and fulfill his commitments.”
