Olamide Opens Up On Afrobeats Giants: Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy Are Troublesome

Nigerian music sensation Olamide has described his colleagues Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy as “troublesome,” though he stressed they remain his friends.

Speaking in a recent interview with Adesope Live, the YBNL boss noted that while the trio are “cool guys,” they often struggle to align on certain issues.

“Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are all my friends, but they are just too troublesome. They’re cool dudes; it’s just that sometimes they can’t align on many things, and that’s fine,” he said.

On the debate over Afrobeats’ “Big 3,” Olamide made it clear he has no concerns about not being included in the list, insisting that his focus has always been on making timeless music rather than competing for titles.

Meanwhile, celebrity chef Hilda Baci has disclosed that the giant custom pot used during her Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt for the largest jollof rice will not be auctioned or sold.

Baci, who successfully completed her second GWR attempt on September 12 at Lagos’s Eko Hotels and Suites, said the pot will be preserved as a national symbol.

She described the record-breaking feat—where 16,600 plates of jollof were produced in nine hours using 1,200kg of gas—as a product of “fire, passion, and teamwork.”

According to her, the pot represents “history, faith, and innovation” and will be kept as a legacy for future generations.

Reflecting on her journey, the 30-year-old revealed she started cooking at the age of eight and perfected her jollof rice recipe after years of trial and error, eventually turning it into a restaurant bestseller and the centerpiece of her world record attempt.
