Mr. Bello, a lawyer, administrator, and distinguished journalist, previously served as the Secretary to the Lagos State Government and holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos. He obtained his Law degree from the same institution and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002.
The statement highlights Mr. Bello’s extensive career in journalism, beginning at Concord Newspapers in 1985. He held key roles including Group Political Editor, Sunday Concord Editor, and Editor of National Concord. He was a recipient of the US Alfred Friendly Press Fellowship and later appointed Chairman of the Editorial Board at THISDAY Newspapers in 2001.
Mr. Bello also contributed significantly to governance, serving as Commissioner for Environment in Lagos State under various administrations.
