Ladoja issued the warning over the weekend while addressing scores of family heads and Baales at his Bodija residence in Ibadan.
In a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Chief Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, the former Oyo State governor reminded traditional leaders of their duty to safeguard their communities.
“You are the Chief Security Officers in your domains and, as such, you will be held responsible for any security lapses in your areas. You must know what goes on in your environment, and if you encounter any security challenge beyond your control, contact us immediately—we will respond and support you,” Ladoja said.
He urged Mogajis and Baales to remain vigilant and promptly report any activities that may threaten peace to security agencies, stressing the need for close collaboration between traditional rulers and law enforcement in order to avert crises.
The Olubadan-designate further assured that he would create a conducive environment for investment in Ibadan and across Oyo State, vowing not to tolerate any security challenges that could discourage investors.
According to him, the cooperation of traditional leaders is crucial to sustaining peace and stability in the ancient city.
